Your new goth french flatmate

Hi there!

I’m Océane, 31, working part-time in a fashion archive and as a freelance pattern cutter/seamstress. I’m looking for a large, unfurnished double room available from January 2025 onwards.

I work on-site 3 to 5 days a week, so if you work from home, I’ll be out of the way for most of your days. I’m open to areas around Haringey, Islington, Hackney, and Walthamstow.

The room size is a priority due to my work. Being a pattern cutter/seamstress, I come with a large desk, a sewing machine, a mannequin, head mannequins, many fabrics, threads, trim boxes, books, and a sample rail—so space is essential.

As for me, I’ve been called cat-like: I’m meticulous, clean, and mindful of my surroundings. As an introverted but friendly being, I keep things tidy and value a peaceful atmosphere. I’m highly sensitive to noise and appreciate solitude to recharge from social interactions, which makes me naturally respectful of others’ privacy and of shared spaces. Once recharged, I’m a calm and helpful presence at home. 🌱🧘‍♀🖤

Living with me comes with some perks: clothing alterations and repairs, cleaning to a high standard, plant care, and general DIY. (I recently fixed a washing machine our landlady insisted was “fine.”)

Ideally, I'd love to live in a household with an alternative vibe—where a mix-up of black clothes is the biggest household drama—but that’s absolutely not a deal-breaker if you’re into pink and glitter 🦇
