Looking for a room in August

Hey! I'm Lila. I'm a 25-year-old recent grad from Toronto, Canada. After spending a semester abroad in Manchester last year, I have decided to make the move permanent!

I will be arriving on August 8th, so I am looking for a place sometime between then and the beginning of September. I'm not bringing much with me (a few suitcases), so a furnished room would be ideal. Since I am not in the city yet, I am happy to chat via whatsapp for virtual meetings/viewings!

I am very chill, respectful of shared spaces and generally pretty tidy. I do like my alone time, but am also very happy to hang out and watch some tv or go out occasionally if that's the vibe! I work in the music industry, and I enjoy going out to local gigs and looking for cool spots for live music around the city. I am planning to work full-time (not from home), and I have a boyfriend who has a place in the city, so I definitely won't be in anyone's hair 24/7. I also love travelling and I try to take as many weekend or holiday trips as I can!

I have been vegetarian my whole life and vegan for the past 10 years- I am not too picky about sharing a space with a meat eater, but if you're veggie too, I'd be happy to share some of my recipes with you (mac and cheese!!!). I love pets, and have a family dog and cat of my own in Canada who I will miss dearly, so if you have pets, that is honestly a bonus for me! :) (I also have professional experience working with cats and dogs and would be happy to act as an occasional pet-sitter).

Since I am not from the UK and don't have many established connections yet, I have had some difficulty finding a UK-based guarantor. I may be able to ask a distant family friend or else pay a (somewhat large) fee for a professional one, but any other non guarantor options (a few months up front or a larger initial deposit) would be very appreciated.
