Quiet room for sleep and study

I am a Speech and Language Therapy (mature!) student.
I am looking for a quiet space where I can sleep and also study during the week whilst on my final placement. I will be returning home to Somerset for the weekends.
Like most people, I would prefer an ensuite bathroom but I'd also consider sharing a bathroom. Access to a kitchen would also be important so I can make breakfast and a quick meal in the evening. I will be out all day, everyday.
Ideally, I'd like to be in a house with only one or two others as a peaceful, calm environment will be important to me.
Location is also important; being near to (or on transport routes to) Birmingham City University (the campus near to the Botanical Gardens) and Midlands Metropolitan Hospital will be a key factor.
This placement is for 8 weeks from Monday 15th September. My plan is to drive to Birmingham on Sunday evening and leave on Thursday so I'm looking for Sunday to Thursday accommodation (4 nights).
As I don't want to drive to my placement each day, I need somewhere to park my car safely (and for free) during the week.
Although I say it myself, I'm an ideal lodger - you'll hardly know I'm there!
