Looking for a place to live thats walkable

Hey everyone,
my name is Sam!
I fairly recently moved up to Manchester from London and until now have been living with my partner in a flat close to Canal St. It has been fun (minus the windows not opening 😡🥵), but my boyfriend is looking to move elsewhere, and I wish to stay in the city centre.
I am torn between finding a my own place, perhaps a studio, or a nice flat/house share here on SpareRoom. Both very different. I did enjoy living with others when back in my uni days, it could be fun to do it again.

I am a civil engineer working full-time near Piccadilly Gardens. If I find a place near the office, I will work from the office as much as possible, but occasionally work from home.

I love music, all kinds, but especially older stuff and particularly rock. Love classic house, disco and funk too. I play bass guitar, piano and some guitar. Would love to learn to DJ, have always wanted to learn to sing, and am determined to learn some Michael Jackson dance moves one day... even if it ends up being through the Wii.

I enjoy cooking, I have been using Gousto for a long time, might not be able to afford to keep that up. Hopefully I have learnt some of the recipes.
I enjoy going out at the weekends on either a Friday or Saturday night, and enjoy a pub quiz. I have a car parked up on the outskirts of the city to take out for a drive on some weekends, I enjoy going for walks.
It would be nice to make new friends as well as housemates, but no pressure, there are lots of things I have been meaning to do to keep myself busy.
