Hi, I'm Ian!

After spending the last year on a career break travelling, working on personal projects and taking some time to figure out my next chapter, I'm moving back to London to start a new role in science and tech research within government. I'll be based in Westminster and expect to be in the office around 40-60% of the time, with the rest spent working from home.

Friends would describe me as kind, thoughtful and easy-going. I'm ideally looking for a home rather than just a room, somewhere with friendly people who enjoy the occasional chat, shared meal, exhibition, film night or trip to the pub, while still having their own lives and space.

I'm also a keen painter/artist and have been building my art business, so I'd be especially happy living with creative people, though that's definitely not a requirement! I also enjoy keeping active, having new adventures, learning Spanish, and generally looking after my health and wellbeing.

I'm clean, tidy and respectful of shared spaces, and I value open communication and a positive atmosphere at home. I've always got on well with the people I've lived with and would love to find a similar setup again.

My new role starts on 5 October, so I'm hoping to move in roughly a week beforehand. I'd love a bit of time to get settled and make the place feel like home before diving into a new job.
