No Live-in Landlords!
Hello!
I'm a friendly, full-time professional in my mid 40s looking for a long-term place to call home. I’d love to find a relaxed, respectful household with kind housemates, and space for one exceptionally sweet and well-behaved cat (she insisted I mention her).
I'm ideally after a double room, furnished or unfurnished as I can bring my own furniture. If the mattress is comfy, that’s good enough for me. I’m hoping to move by the end of October but I’m very flexible.
A bit about me 👋
I work in mental health and spend three days a week in the office in North/ East London, with the other two working quietly from home in my room. Outside work, I enjoy reading, long walks, and the usual socialising.
My taste in music leans toward jazz, folk, and gipsy styles, and I’m a big fan of arthouse and indie films. I tend to get along best with progressive, open-minded, considerate people who value kindness, thoughtfulness, and a peaceful shared living space.
Around the house 🧼
I’m tidy and respectful, especially in shared spaces. I’m not obsessive, just someone who prefers not stepping on toast crumbs barefoot. I’m happy to chip in for a cleaner if that’s something the household prefers, anything that helps make things easier.
The cat 🐾
She’s been with me since a kitten and is very sweet-natured, quiet, affectionate (but not clingy), and no trouble at all. Her favourite hobby is fly-hunting, and she’ll reward your efforts with a purr if you join in. She mostly keeps to herself. Naturally, I’ll take full responsibility for her care.
Other bits
I’m plant-based, but I’m very relaxed about other people's food habits. My previous housemate eat meat and it’s never been a big issue.
Ideally, I’d love to live in a home where there’s the option to chat while cooking, maybe share a film night or a glass of wine now and then, while also respecting each other’s space and downtime. If we become friends, great! If not, a warm, easygoing co-living arrangement suits me just as well. I prefer to live with people of similar age, late 30s to late 40s but I get on with all ages.
If this sounds like a good fit, I’d love to hear from you (and so would the cat)!
