Description
Kind, creative software engineer (27) looking for a new home in London
I’m Harry, 26 years old, software engineer from West Yorkshire. Currently I am living in West Hampstead. Since graduating from the University of York in 2020 studying history, I have worked as a software engineer, beginning my career at a health consultancy in Leeds and now at Moonpig in Farringdon.
As a person, I think you’d find me to be kind, easy-going, calm, quiet, introverted, introspective, as well as passionate, enthusiastic and a good laugh - always up for a conversation, a trip to the pub, a coffee, or a walk around a park. And as a flatmate, I’m definitely clean, respectful, and responsive to any feedback. I’m not the best cook in the world, so I can’t promise anything in that regard lol, but I get by and am definitely learning.
I love history, probably my main passion since I was young, and spend a lot of time reading books about it, as well as visiting museums and galleries. After that, I have a quite a few other interests such as classic literature (big fan of Walter Scott, Dickens, Gaskell...), vintage fashion, antiques (lots of ‘old things’ basically lol), writing and obviously programming (but that’s my job so probably doesn’t count).
I also love living in London. I spend a lot of my weekends just exploring the different areas, trying out pubs, cafes, bakeries, and especially museums (my favourite being the John Soane’s Museum, which is incredible - definitely recommend!).
Anyway, I think that’s about it. Many thanks!
