Description
I’m moving to a Glasgow from Edinburgh and I am looking for a room for myself, my 2 guinea pigs (Jim and Dwight) and potentially a large porcelain leopard (can be put into storage if it’s not your thing) while I get settled in Glasgow.
Southside/Shawlands would be ideal as I am more familiar with the area.
I am a clean person, I do sometimes leave a temporary floordrobe in my room if I have left in a hurry, but I would be sure to keep all communal areas free of even temporary mess whether I’m in a hurry or not.
I do love the odd pint or pub quiz in summer and you would be more than welcome to come along with me, but I’m not a big drinker (partly because I’m too old to deal with a hangover) so you don’t need to worry about me stumbling in drunk at all hours.
I can be social and will normally be more than happy for a catch up about your day to watch something together or discuss a book, but I also understand that people need their space (including me) and sometimes after a long day there just needs to be time to be alone or in comfortable silence.
I love movies, tv shows and music. My taste in all 3 is a bit all over the place so I’m sure if you like any of the above there would be a crossover somewhere and I’m always keen to try and gauge music taste vs mine and see if I can come up with a playlist (a step up from burning CDs for my friends in high school)
I’ve been slacking lately, but I do enjoy the gym and try to go at least twice a week to lift some heavy things and take my mind off anything that’s bothering me. My dad also has an extensive board game collection and i’ve been made to play far more than I ever thought I could learn the rules to when I’m back home, so if you’re into board games or card games there’s a good chance I can be talked into a game or two.
I currently own my flat and live alone, but if you require references I would be more than happy to have a friend, work colleagues or my former flatmate from 10+ years ago vouch for me as unfortunately I don’t think it would be appropriate to reach out to my ex 😂 although I can promise you we didn’t not split due to issues living together, it was actually when we went long distance that it crumbled.
