Female professional seeking room in Bristol

I am a 40 year old hospital doctor looking to relocate to Bristol between June and September 2024. I’m flexible within these dates to find the right place.

I am looking for a good sized room in a shared house or flat, open to lodger arrangements as well as house shares. I’d prefer to live with people 30’s plus, although not a must, just might have more common ground. Ideally I’d like wooden or hard floors, rather than carpets, some character to the place, nice plants and some sunny areas. Big windows and sun streaming through in my room would be a huge bonus but not a requirement of course! The areas I’m interested in include Montpellier, St Paul’s, St Werburghs, Easton / Greenbank, St George / Redfield but not too far out, Redlands, Cotham, Clifton, St Andrews, Bishopston.. quite a range in there I know but chosen for proximity to friends and family, where I like the feel of and where I can commute easily via M32 / M4.

I have lived in Bristol for years, previously London based and am returning after working away for a year. I specialise in breast surgery and work Monday-Friday in the hospital so won’t be at home week days. I’m sociable and would like to get along with housemates, share the odd drink / dinner / chat after work but also very independent and have a large circle of friends in Bristol (mainly non-medics in media, arts and sustainability), so spend some time out and about evenings and weekends but also enjoy downtown time and chilling at home when needed. I’m not a huge party person (anymore), however do like the odd night out or gig. My interests include yoga / meditation, music, arts / culture, food / cooking, seeing friends, keeping fit and healthy and exploring / travelling. I use environmentally friendly products and packaging and living in a sustainable way where possible. I’m happy to share space with pets. I’m clean, tidy and respectful and am looking for similar in a shared space.
