Late 2024: Aussie Seeking Home Base in England

G'day from Down Under! I'm a Brit by birth, lived in Australia most of my life. With life circumstances changed somewhat (working on a career change to photographer, and street poet, mathematician...won't bore you with the details now -- I'll bore you later(!); and separated from my wife are the main changes), and just because I'd like to, am planning to return to England to live. I'm seeking somewhere to rent for the medium term as a home base to operate from. Something clean and tidy, reasonably roomy, reasonably quiet. Perhaps shared, a friendly atmosphere; but probably renting a home such as a studio or 1 b/r flat to call my own for a while.

What to expect from me? Looking after your home, pay the rent on time. And I tend to fit in well with people (good conversationalist e. g.), but also like my privacy sometimes. Many interests. Sense of humour (love this in others too). Independent. Lastly, I speak a few languages: "Astrayun" and English English. And, I was born on the Isle of Wight, so I'm almost French.

I'm well referenced as a renter if you need. Reasonably financially secure (have savings to draw on).
