Hey! Looking for a room!

Hi there! I’m Joel, your potential new housemate! I’m a 25 year old, full-time working doctor in the Worcestershire area.

What I’m looking for is a welcoming bunch of people (or person) to live with that aren’t party-crazy but are also willing to have fun whether it be occasionally going out or enjoying each others company in communal spaces! I’d ideally be looking for a contract up until August 2026 as I will have finished my full-time contract then. But there is a potential that I might need to stay a bit longer. I will be available to meet and look at rooms from today or I don’t mind doing a virtual viewing over FaceTime!

My work rota mainly follows a 9AM-5PM Monday to Friday with weekends involved every couple of weeks. I’ll occasionally have 24 hour on-call periods where I might be called at home in the night to come to hospital. I’m currently working in the community around Kidderminster in psychiatry. My ideal move in date would be before the 30th April as this is when my current landlords will have sold their house by.

My living habits are as follows. I very much appreciate keeping things tidy and clean, so I would like to live with like-minded people in regards to this! I like to shower in the mornings (just in case there is already a large queue for a communal shower). I usually meal prep my food so I’m only cooking once every several days. I average about 2, very occasionally 3 laundry loads a week. My girlfriend lives fairly close by so it would be great if she would be allowed to visit/sleepover occasionally! Hands down, my favourite chore is hoovering.

So a little bit more about me, I’m originally from London and I love travelling! I've travelled to lots of places in Asia e. g. Malaysia (where my mum is from), Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore. Other things include anything that gives a rush of adrenaline whether it be skiing, skydiving, go-karting, scuba diving, you name it!

Of course I won’t be doing this everyday, some things I like to do on the daily include keeping active by going to the gym, meeting with friends at the pub, gaming, watching football or F1 and Netflix-ing. To add a bit of flavour to the latter, my favourite movie is good will hunting and favourite series is tied between the office and game of thrones.
