Creative Professional Looking for House Share!

Hey! I'm a creative professional looking for a room in a friendly, positive, open-minded household to become a part of.

Note - If you’re being sent “interest” from me it’s just that I haven’t subscribed to the early bird thing… sorry for the impersonal approach!

If you have pets I’m SO game - don’t have any myself but have a particular affinity for cats. I also love dogs...

I work as a professional musician and do tutoring on the side for students in higher education who have additional educational needs. I do this from home so am looking for a room that can accommodate a little desk and housemates that don't mind me working from home in my room.

The tutoring work only occurs within the 9-5 bracket and I'd keep all shared spaces oriented around living and relaxing and won't encroach my working life onto those spaces.

As for music, I do this usually in a studio setting outside of the house and would only ever be quietly rehearsing or writing from my room. Happy to talk to housemates about this and negotiate a non-invasive way for that to happen, ie organising it for when others are out of the house.

If I could find a house that had an additional space available that could be rented/ used as a studio that would be a huge plus, but is quite a specific ask so am not going in expecting that.

I am not interested in living in a party house, although I do like to host occasional dinner parties or laid-back folk-music nights. My partner and I are both songwriters, and he is an actor by trade, so we love hosting creative evenings from home. Not being up for this is not a deal-breaker, though it would be fun to live with someone who enjoys that kind of thing occasionally.

My interests include going to concerts, theatre, film, I love to read and cook and drink wine with friends and throw little dinner parties and host music nights and things. I also am trying to learn to garden, so having a garden would be an extra plus!

Looking to live with likeminded friendly people who like to spend time together but also treat the flat as a haven where everyone can relax. Good communicators are a plus! It would be lovely to foster a nurturing, communal, boundaried home environment where people look forward to going home and unwinding but also know that there is fun communal stuff to look forward to. I'd be fine with more reserved housemates too, provided we were communicative about important things and friendly with one another/ got along.

I just hope to find somewhere that can become really homely and nurturing as a space. I have lots of plants, so preferably a house that would like that, too!

Would LOVE to adopt a cat but the right time hasn't yet arrived in my life... so if you happen to have a cat that's a huge yes from me.

Looking to move in November but can be flexible for the right place and could even be available to move immediately if necessary for the right place/ person.
