Description

Hi! My name is Manuela. I'm 35, single, from Argentina living in Spain and I'm looking to move to London for work in summer 2026 (dates TBC when I finish the paperwork.)
I am a translator and account manager working from home full time.
I'm looking for a double room. I'd like it to be bright and spacious, a place where I can set up a desk to work and be comfortable without feeling enclosed in a room all day.
Ideally with my own bathroom (no need for an ensuite) with toilet, bath and window.
Location wise, zones 1-3. I'd like to have supermarkets, shops, cafés, charity shops and green spaces, as well as a tube station and bus stops, within walking distance.
I'm talkative and outgoing when at ease, love meeting people and trying new things. I am usually up for any plan as I like to enjoy life and not just wait for the weekend to have some free time.
Equally, I value my alone time to 'recharge my social battery' and I enjoy my own company and quiet time.
I've shared a flat before (for 9 years in the same flat! Can you tell I'm looking for a place to call home? 😁), and my roommate was also (and still is!) a friend. I'd love for my flatmates to be friends and not just people you share a space with. I'd like female flatmates of a similar age (~28-38). Female household only.
While I already know some people in London, I'm looking to have a circle of people to feel at home - in friendship, I value quality over quantity.
I'd like to live in a place where I can occasionally have friends over (for dinner, for a chat, etc.). As an Argentinian, socialising is not always done outside of the house, and I like that as much as I enjoy going out for brunch or a walk.
I'll also sometimes have family or friends stay when visiting from abroad.
Of course, all of that would be previously discussed and agreed.
I think communication is key! And thus integral when sharing a flat.
I'm a cat person and would not mind at all having a feline flatmate too.
I am very tidy and clean, I would be happy to agree on a schedule to clean common spaces (flexible of course) and to do shared grocery shopping.
Cooking is not my forte hehe but I get by (we all need to eat, right?).
No smoking or vaping and no smokers - I can't stand it.
Budget wise, £1100-£1200 max bills included.
Anything else you'd like to know, please feel free to ask! 🤗 Thank you ✨️
