Aussie couple looking for a room in Manchester

Hi there!

We are Hope and Callum from Australia, and have recently moved to the UK on the 2-year Youth Mobility Visa. We are looking to settle in the Manchester region. We are aged 30 and 29 respectively and aim to find a good blend of work, meeting new people, and travelling while we are here.

Together, we want to join a share house of any size, ideally one that is social and tidy. We aim to find a place for a minimum of 6 months, but are flexible beyond that too. We have both lived in share houses for the past 10 years and are well versed in being courteous, friendly, and communicative housemates. We hope to build friendships with our future housemates but are also mindful of respecting each other's space.

We are financially secure and actively seeking employment, and are open to work in all fields.

About us:

Callum - I'm a mad sports fan who loves playing football and golf. From Toowoomba and Brisbane, I studied Marketing & IT and have worked in a Digital/ Marketing role for the past 6 years. I aim to continue working in this field while here. I'm also a great (and humble) cook with a love for good food. I love exploring, road trips and hiking, as well as a pint (or three) at the pub. I have travelled solo throughout Europe chasing any and every sporting event.

Hope - I am an avid traveller from the NSW Northern Rivers. Naturally, I love the beach and all things outdoors. Travelling is one of my greatest joys and I have completed a few extended solo trips around the world. My professional background is as a Social Worker, and I have 7 years experience working in a government health setting (hospital and community). Although I very much enjoy my quiet time and reading, I also love a pub quiz, picnics in the park, markets, and going for big walks.
