Hi! I’m Rama Alcoutlabi, known as RA, a dedicated scholar and passionate musician from Syria. I moved to the UK in October 2020 with a scholarship for academic excellence and leadership achievements. I hold an MSc in Research and International Development from SOAS and currently work as a research assistant at IPSOS UK. My intellectual interests span philosophy, theology, AI, future studies, entrepreneurship, and philanthropy. I founded "Music for Peace Building", where we integrate music education with mental health support for refugees across London. As a musician, I sing and play various Middle Eastern instruments, performing traditional music and songs from Turkey, Greece, and Iran. My repertoire includes Arabic Sufi, Aramaic, and Hebrew, and I’m working on projects to highlight the shared musical heritage of these cultures.

I’m looking for a spacious and elegant home with lots of windows and modern designs. I value a calm atmosphere in the mornings for coffee, meditation, and focused work, but also enjoy socializing and making healthy food. I believe in a balanced lifestyle that includes both socializing and having quality time for myself. Communication and cleanliness are essential to me for living in harmony and maintaining a happy living space. If I am to describe the dream home (for now) feature I would say, minimalist modern clean simple but also cozy homey that can get enough sunlight and that has greenary and plants, it would be amazing if it has cool book shelves as well.

As a full-time researcher, charity founder, and musician, I thrive on inspiration, creativity, and positive energy. In a world filled with unsettling events, I believe it's essential to remain positive and harness creativity to make a meaningful impact and drive change. So a balance between regenerative rest in a healthy and homey space where we can recharge and deep, focused and creative work in a creative inspiring environment is the environment for me !

Having a Garden or a Balcony is Essential !

As a young woman and refugee, I dream of contributing to a more equitable world. Having fled Syria in 2020, the value of home and family holds deep meaning for me. My aim is to create a warm, homey atmosphere with my flatmates, fostering a sense of family and hopefully building lifelong friendships.
