Description
Hi! I'm Jessica (: I'm a 28 year old who moved to London from the US, where I was born and raised.
A little about me 👩🏻
I'm a software engineer and go into the office 4-5 days a week. I usually leave the house between 8 and 9 in the morning and get home between 7 or 8 in the evening.
Finding and maintaining friendships is super important to me. You will find me going to random events around London to meet new people, chatting with loved ones over a good meal, or convincing my friends to try a new activity or experience with me. I also like to explore new cities or areas in London by just picking a direction and walking. On multiple occasions, I have walked 16 miles in a day.
My other interests include getting dressed up to enjoy the fine arts (West end shows, ballets, operas, and the like). I'm also big into going to the cinema, and have already seen 7 movies this year. I've recently gotten into going to the gym (I understand how to properly deadlift now), enjoy playing the ukulele, (very slowly) learning Spanish, practicing card juggling, and have made a couple of mechanical keyboards from completely from scratch.
What I'm like and looking for as a flatmate 🏡
I'm looking for a place that feels like I'm sharing a house with friends rather than renting out a room. But, I also enjoy my alone time and respect others' need for space as well. I value a clean home and do my part to keep spaces tidy, minimize noise, and respect other's belongings and personal space. I'm hoping to live with others who feel the same. I normally wake up between 8 or 9 and get to bed around midnight.
Should I invite others over, I will let others know in advance. I'd love a mix of nights where I do my own thing but also some where we can hang out as flatmates. I would be more than happy to sit down and binge through a whole season of trashy TV as a house. Also, if you're into pub quiz, I played a whole bunch in America and am so down to go!
Former flatmate testimonials 💬
I hope to be a wonderful addition to your flat. If you don't want to take my word for it, here are testimonials from flatmates I've lived with (pictured in the last photo):
"Jessica is one of the best roommates I’ve had - extremely friendly, kind, welcoming, clean, mindful of personal space, and a delight to be around; I would absolutely room with her again!“
- Paul, former flatmate
"Jessica is the ideal roommate. neat and organized, always cleans up after herself and cleans up after others. if she ever has to borrow something from u, u will get it back cleaner and nicer than when u lent it. she is the ideal tv show watching partner if you’re also a slow tv watcher like me. she is much better than the person who replaced her (jk) and i miss her everyday. sweetest and kindest person i know. 12/10 roomie, no notes"
- Matt, former flatmate
Looking forward to potentially living with you!
