Looking for a flatshare

Hi there! I'm a Canadian high school teacher, I am coming to the beautiful Bath on a youth mobility visa.

I am looking for a flatshare, I'm not picky since I limited rental and employment history in the UK. I lived and worked in Edinburgh before, and I am able to provide landlord reference from my stay there in 2024-2025.

I am looking for short term lets for now as I am unsure about my employment (I am ready to commit to one month at a time). Once employment is settled, I am happy to sign a longer lease.

I would love an ensuite bathroom or one that is not shared. But I am also happy to share a bathroom.

I am not currently employed in the UK, but I am ready to apply to a number of vacancies as soon as I land, the resume and cover letters are all ready! In the meantime, I am happy to provide bank statements, investment account statements, past several years of tax statements to show I have always been someone who is capable of getting employed. And again, happy to provide a UK land lord reference.

I am reluctant to provide a large amounts of deposit, as I am worried about being scammed. But I also understand you probably feel the same. I believe in honest and open dialogue and I am sure we can work something out that will allow both of us to trust each other.

I’d love to have a place of residence settled before I land. But I am also happy to stay somewhere temporary for a week before we finalize our let agreement. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions :)
