Looking for an en-suite in shared place/ homestay

Hello everyone, I’m Athena from Hong Kong. I’m travelling alone to the UK for working holiday very soon. My estimated arrival is between 10th Dec - 10th Jan. I can’t really decide on an exact date until I’ve secured a place to stay.

My original destination was going to be Edinburgh, but considering the weather and a few other factors… I’m now opening to more locations to consider across the UK, including Bath, Bristol, Brighton and Herefordshire. I’m especially interested in Bath.

For Edinburgh I have a friend who is residing in there who can do a physical visit on behalf of me. I’d love a video call viewing myself as well for convenience.

I’m a non-smoker, can’t be near smokers at all. So the place must be strictly non-smoking, including outdoor area. I’m also a person who very much value privacy and hygiene, so I’m looking for an en-suite room that comes with a private bathroom. These two requirements are must.

My budget is about £500 - £800. If anyone is willing to negotiate the price due to long term stay, it’s very appreciated. I shall be staying in the UK for a long time, so finding a stable home is very important to me.

Being open-minded about spiritual and religious beliefs is very important too.

I’m mostly a humble and reserved woman. More on the introverted side, I’m a bit anxious around new people at first, but once warming up I can become very chatty and cheerful. I’m also both good listener and advisor. I hope to make friends and meet good people along my journey.

I love and adore animals, especially cats. If you have pets in your home, you can trust them with me. I’m proud to say I often have ways to gain their affection, and I always put them before myself.
