Working professional from Canada/ Dad of 2

I'm originally from Canada and been living in East Sussex a little over 3 years now. My now ex is from here and we have 2 boys so I'm staying in the UK while they're still growing up. It's been a very difficult year for me and hoping things will look a little more positive in 2026. At the moment I only have occasional work but looking for more. Ideally I would have stayed with some family during this transition time but all of my family are back in Canada.

I'm hoping to find temporary accommodation (1-3 months). I'm hoping I'll be able to afford my own place in a few months once I get a new contract in my regular field of work which is animation. I am anticipating getting full time employment again in the new year. I just need to find something that will allow me to get by while I'm on a lower salary.

I realize 450/month is fairly low but I'm willing to pay for 2 months up front if that helped. I'm just looking for basic accommodation, bed, access to kitchen and bathroom, and all the other bills covered ideally.
I'm very tidy and a quiet tenant.

Several evenings a week I am visiting over with my kids and walking the family dog.
