Seeking 1-bed in London house/flatshare

Hi there,

My name is Raghav and I'm looking for a room in a house or flatshare in London.

Over the past 18 odd years I've lived in quite a few different neighbourhoods - primarily in South and East London - and am really open to where I live so long as access to transportation isn't too bad. To be honest, as long as I feel comfortable at home, the location tends to be secondary.

I'm also more than happy to live in a house with pets. I looked after two cats in my last house, and have often been the go-to person if a friend needed a cat or dogsitter.

A bit about me: I grew up in Wimbledon but moved about a bit when I was younger, finally coming back to settle down in London in 2006. I work in film, and do a mix of working from home/the office.

I really like to watch movies (obviously) and do a lot of cooking at home, which I also occasionally do for friends. Apart from that I would say I'm fairly civilised at home, which is a place I tend to treat as more of a sanctuary from daily life.

I mostly go out to the pub to meet people, or cinema/museum/concert outings. The typical things you do in a place like London! I don't smoke, but do like the occasional drink (especially a glass of wine while cooking).

My parents live in India, so I'm usually away for a few weeks each year visiting them.

My goal for 2015 is to spend more time going to to the theatre if possible - something that I haven't really done much - and maybe take up a hobby. I do also try and write, which basically means I'm in my room or the living area tapping away on my keyboard.

The only other thing I can say about me is I've never really had issues with any of the people I've lived with, and we've always parted on good terms. In addition to petsitting, people tend to reach out to ask if I'll water their plants if they go travelling. I'm that kind of person.

I had to leave my last place where I was with a live-in landlord, because they were moving to Italy. So I'm currently couch-surfing, and available to move as soon as possible! Happy to give references if required.
