Description
Hi! ☺️ I’m relocating to Edinburgh at the end of the year and am looking for a room (or small furnished flat) to rent from mid-end of February!
About me: 👯♀️
- 31 year old social worker from a small town in at the end of the Great Ocean Road in Australia. I have been living in London for just over 12 months now and will be relocating to Edinburgh for work! 🏰
- Non smoker or drug user, social drinker. 🍷
- Full time employed in a hybrid role (more office time than not) based near Haymarket.
- I’m really into pub trivia, mindfulness & ice baths, live music, netball, reading, board game nights, binging trash tv series, yoga & pilates, indoor plants, exploring new places and meeting new people! Also unashamedly love a night out at Stramash and a good boogie! 🕺 I’ve been traveling LOADS since I moved to London, but expect that to slow down a little bit once I’m settled in Edinburgh … but don’t tempt me with a cheap EasyJet flight 👀
I’m a bit of an introverted extrovert, meaning I love socialising but definitely also need my own space to recharge at times. I’ve lived in loads of share houses before so totally respect the need for a blend of socialising and personal space, splitting of bills, shared cleaning etc! Can provide references and a valid police check.
I promise to be a respectful, courteous and fun housemate, and would love to share a meal or drink together some evenings, though also appreciate the need for alone time too. Ultimately I’m just looking for a peaceful little room / 1bed or studio flat to relax in at the end of the day and feel at home. 🩷 I live a quiet little life and would love like-minded housemates to share that with whilst I settle in to a new city! Reasonable public transport connections are really important to me, as are roommates who also appreciate a peaceful and relaxed house. 🥰
My preferred areas are Stockbridge, Bruntsfield, Meadows, Leith, Morningside, Marchmont, Corstorphine, Portobello, Tollcross, Cannonmills, Broughton, Trinity, Blackford Hill, Newhaven, or Musselburgh - however I’m really open to anywhere within 30ish minutes commuting distance to the new town centre. A nice neighborhood with a community feel where I can meet people, find my local coffee spot, gym routine and feel at home is more important to me than a super modern house! Would also consider Queensferry, Currie, Balerno or Juniper Green areas for the right place. Budget is around £550-650 for a room in a shared home, though I am willing to be flexible for the perfect furnished room / 1bed flat.
Please do let me know if you have anything available, or know of a room coming up for rent early next year! 💕
