Edinburgh-based journalist seeking flat

Hi there, my name is Anna, and I am a 26 year old postgraduate journalist hoping to continue living in Edinburgh this end of November / December seeking accommodation minimum of 6 months in the Capital.

Since graduating my masters in journalism, I split my time contributing to local paper Edinburgh Reporter, while working on freelance commissions.

I have had the best time living in Edinburgh since 2020, and my partner Zoe and I love to spend time together on the weekends out walking and hitting coffee shops, as I have been living at home post masters (Dumfries and Galloway).

Ideally, I’d love to find somewhere where I can live amongst professionals, and be situated somewhere fairly central. As mentioned, I am a journalist and spend most of my days out and about chasing stories and spending time in Edinburgh library, but enjoy winding down and coming home to quiet but sociable flat environment.

An LGBT+ inclusive household is essential for me, as I hope to live somewhere where my partner Zoe can pop over from time to time. On the social front, I enjoy heading out into town to meet with friends over coffee, and helping around the house with various cleaning tasks - have had good practice staying at home recently! But I also enjoy having a space to wind down, and if flatmates are less chatty, this is no problem as I respect need for own space etc. and home being a place to chill and relax.

In a nutshell, I graduated this year and moved home, but was living with a girl and family friend in central Edinburgh which was lovely. Finding more long-term accommodation as I pursue my early career in journalism (freelancing on top of this) would be lovely to pursue in the Capital. (Ideal move being end of November / early December).
