Description
After 8.5 years in my current flat, it's time for me to find a new home. I'd love to find another place where I can live happily long-term.
I'm open to sharing a house or flat or renting alone in a studio. I'm somewhat open to further afield, but my preference would be to stay in or near N8.
If sharing, I'm ideally looking for a substantial-sized double room (e. g. a lounge room converted into a bedroom). My maximum budget for a room in a shared flat or house would be £1,100, including all bills and council tax.
If it's a studio, it must be a good size with sufficient storage space and an oven. I would consider studio flats above £1,100, including all bills and council tax.
I'm chatty, friendly and happy to socialise, but I spend most of my time doing my own thing. An extroverted introvert, if you will.
I'm open to sharing with people of any age, but I'm not looking for a party house.
I have a broad taste in music, film and TV (well, not that broad: I'm not into reality TV, but it's okay if you are). I enjoy visiting galleries and museums, taking photo walks and discovering the hidden gems in London and beyond. I also enjoy chilling with friends at the pub.
Day job: Web Testing and Training Officer for a society/charity.
Creative pursuits: photographer, artist and writer.
Side hustle: pet-sitter (cats, dogs, a hamster, fish, even a couple of peacocks!)
I work flexibly and remotely, with just one day a fortnight in the office, so my new home must allow me to work from home.
However, last year and this year, I've only been home about 56% of the nights of each year due to pet-sitting (locally and further afield) and vacations. I expect 2025 to be similar.
I'm a night owl. However, my most recent flatmate worked nights at home (22:00-06:00), and my two previous flatmates were larks, so despite keeping odd hours, I try to be considerate about noise.
I'm looking for a clean, tidy home where everyone's considerate and respectful.
I don't have any pets of my own, but I would love my new home to be open to occasional visits from my local doggo friends, and I would be happy to join a household that includes pets.
I'm vegetarian, but all my flatmates have been omnivores.
