American w permanent UK residency desires lodging

Semi-retired professional who likely will work part-time to keep a hand in for another five years. American but resided in Hants during doomed marital experiment ending 14 years ago. Acted as mother's carer 14 years, now retured, with lovely US rescue dog coming along, to join remaining two family members in Dorset, settling in Sep-2024. Have US passport with permanent UK residency visa. Settled, sociable but quiet, well-mannered if slightly skittish rescue dog is also quiet. Desire safe, walkable neighbourhood, ideally walkable to possible work (if not work from home) and near groceries and shopping, takeaways or eateries, and gathering places for a social outlet. I do not drink or do illegal drugs. I can live with or without tele. I do need internet and for Lebara mobile (off Vodaphone towers) connectivity/signal. I can bring furnishings or not. Desire a wardrobe. En-suite preferred, but not an absolute. I am a terrible cook, but can tidy up for shared meals or manage on my own with simple meals. I am an omnivore, but lean towards pescatarian. I desire, optimally, a very long term lodging arrangement, and if I find I will need to move, ample notice.
