- Double room wanted
Total budget: £900 pcm
Description
I'm looking for a good-size double room to rent in a house/spacious flat with a live-in landlord, probably someone in their mid-thirties or older.
I'd like a sense of having my own space and a decent amount of space (in the room) to do yoga and work without feeling cramped. I would need a firm-ish mattress (I have one I could bring with me if needed).
I would like to find somewhere in Redland, Clifton, Cotham, Kingsdown, Bishopston or Westbury Park. Ideally with some kind of bike storage or somewhere fairly secure to keep a bike, even if it’s outside (I don’t have a car). I would like to live in a peaceful environment, including quiet road and neighbours.
As a shade-loving creature who likes to stay cool, I'd prefer a room that doesn't get loads of sun.
I wouldn't mind the odd bath but not essential.
I will happily live with a cat / cats.
My budget is up to £900/month including bills.
I love cooking – and a glass or two of rioja - and would love to sometimes cook for you. I also enjoy a good chat as well as having my own space and being respectful of others.
I’m friendly, clean and tidy (would like to live with people who value this), environmentally-minded. I hope to offer warmth, humour and lively conversation and to contribute as part of the household. I'd love to live with someone / people I connect with in some way.
My work is as a freelance grant fundraiser working with small charities, mainly with a local refugee charity. I mainly work from home part-time hours but like to get out at least twice a day, usually more.
Things I enjoy: having a good laugh with friends, audiobooks (love Deborah Levy, Elizabeth Strout, Rachel Cusk), podcasts (history and politics mainly, also psychoanalysis!), swimming at the lido and the lake, a good TV drama (loved The Bear and Severance), yoga classes and feldenkrais, spelt toast with tahini, bonding with furry beasts. I like to do some house sitting sometimes to get a change of scene.
I've recently come out of a longterm relationship (we still own a flat together in Redland) and plan to be a lodger for at least a year or two while I sort out my financial situation and make longer term plans.
Added perks: I’m a member of the lido and Henleaze lake and can take guests! I’m also pretty frugal with heating etc (although not a fan of barely heated places - I like to be able to get cosy).
