Aussie (UK Passport) looking for somewhere to land

Hi all.

I'm an Aussie (with a British passport) moving to Edinburgh in June this year, and I'm looking for somewhere to land and get settled into life in Scotland. I will be arriving in Edinburgh on the 04/06/2025.

I have some friends moving over later in the year who I intend to live with, but I'm looking for accommodation for the period before they arrive. So I'm looking for somewhere to stay for about 3-6 months.

I won't have a job when I arrive, but I have more than enough savings to keep myself going, and will be actively job-searching once I get to Edinburgh.

I'm pretty flexible when it comes to living arrangements and who I share accommodation with, and I don't really have any requirements other than a room to myself in a place that isn't falling down. It'd be handy if the room is furnished but it isn't a requirement.

I'm also likely to have a car, and a place with a parking space would be a big bonus.

I'm very friendly and I get along with just about everyone. I'm happy to have a chat and get to know my housemates, but I do tend to be pretty quiet and keep to myself at home - I spend lots of time reading, writing, or working on various projects.
