Description
About Me:
I’m 30, British-French, and moving back to London after several years working and teaching abroad. I’ve spent the last few years lecturing in English literature, teaching law and languages at university, and writing for various cultural publications while working part-time as a ski and gastronomy guide. I’m currently preparing for the SQE exams and planning to qualify as a solicitor in the next two years, ideally in employment or media law.
Outside of work, I’m a lifelong classical musician (bassoonist and pianist), a language nerd, very outdoorsy, bookish and love the theatre, wine nights, and proper book chats. I’m very clean and tidy without being uptight, and I value peaceful, supportive spaces where flatmates are respectful, engaged, and enjoy occasional meals or conversations together.
What I’m Looking For:
Ideally a beautiful Victorian or Georgian flat with high ceilings, natural light, and space for books. A garden or proximity to green space would be a bonus. I’m looking to live with fellow professionals or postgrads - people who are warm, curious, kind, and culturally-minded. Multilingual environments very welcome. I’d love a home where we can quietly coexist during busy weeks but still enjoy the occasional bottle of wine, herbal tea, pub quiz, movie night, Saturday parkrun or Sunday brunch.
My budget is £1000/month max including bills, and I’m hoping to move in mid-April or May. I’d love to live near the Piccadilly, District or Elizabeth line, and I’m drawn to areas like Barons Court, Brook Green, Belsize Park, Ealing Broadway, or anywhere leafy, well-connected, and beautiful.
You’ll get:
A thoughtful, emotionally intelligent flatmate who respects space but also brings good conversation, coffee, and eclectic playlists. I’m early to bed, early to rise, not a habitual party animal, and very much looking for a place that feels like home.
