25yr old guy seeking housing

Hi there! My name is Toby — I’m a 25-year-old trans guy looking for a room in Edinburgh as soon as possible.

My budget is up to £600 for rent, and I’m happy to chat about bills and anything else that comes with shared living.

A little about me: I moved to Edinburgh about two years ago and currently work as a bartender at a restaurant just off the back of Waverley Station, so anywhere with decent public transport links would be ideal. I’m studying maths and physics through the Open University, which means I can study from home but also spend a lot of time in the library.

When I’m not working or studying, you’ll usually find me playing video games (mostly RPGs and JRPGs), listening to psych music, watching horror films, playing rugby, grabbing a drink with friends, or exploring the city. I value a good balance of social and quiet time: I’m very happy doing my own thing, but I also love hanging out with housemates — whether that’s a cosy night in, a spontaneous adventure, or anything in between.

I’m tidy but laid-back, and I always keep communal areas clean. I’m 🍃 friendly (happy to smoke outside) and I enjoy a drink — plus I can bring some solid cocktail skills to the table if anyone’s into that.

I also have two cats — Solomon and Lana — who are both gentle, affectionate, and very chill. I’m looking for a pet-friendly home where housemates don’t mind a couple of furry pals. They’re well-trained and a delightful addition to any flat dynamic, but I’m happy to discuss any pet-related concerns

My current move-out date is 28th January 2026, but if the right place comes up sooner, I can move earlier.
