Room for an ex, ex-pat?!

I'm from Manchester but have been living in South Florida for over 15 years. Big part of the reason for moving back is concern over my mum's health. As her carer, I really need to be within a short distance of central Reddish. (or at least with very good/quick transport links). Really looking for my own place but seems likely that I need to compromise.

I'm married but my wife is going to be working abroad, with only occasional return trips and nothing for the next few months. I'm effectively a full time carer, at least for now, although I'm not ruling out getting a job in the logistics field that I could balance my responsibilities with. The "family" income will more than cover what I'm looking for.

I'm respectful in my approach to sharing or being the custodian of someone's home (and/or investment). Until last year, I had the same place in Florida for a decade and only improved it and had multiple Housemates throughout...

I don't smoke and don't touch any drugs.

While my ideal is to have my own place, I would consider a share, particularly if the owner/fellow housemate wasn't necessarily there all the time. The room would preferably be en-suite in that scenario.
