Long term tennant availble for a calm home

Hello,

I’m looking to rent a room in a private home—ideally somewhere that feels cared for, calm, lived-in, and sense of comraderie rather than a purely transactional and impersonal house share with no communal space. No agencies please

Move in date - 30 April (with some flexibility on either end)

Location preferences, central, north or east London within zone 2.

A bit about me:
I’m work in the design, creative arts and culture space, with projects spanning the UK and internationally. I am self employed, 3-4 days from home, 1-2 days in an office or in meetings, so I value a home that offers a sense of quiet, stability, and ease.

I’m a stable, tidy, and considerate person, with a grounding in Buddhist, yoga practice and meditation, which shapes how I live day to day. I enjoy creating a peaceful environment—filled with plants, incense, and good energy.

Outside of work, I’m a cyclist, occasional rock climber, and currently learning guitar. I’m well travelled and enjoy good conversation, but I’d describe myself as a sociable introvert—I value connection, but also appreciate space and calm. I would need storage for my bike and sport gear.

I love food and cooking, and tend to bring a quiet sense of care to a home—keeping things clean, respectful, and harmonious.

What I’m looking for:

A homey, well-looked-after space that is mindful.

A private landlord or live-in owner who takes pride in their home and looking to share it with a likeminded individual

A calm household (not a high-turnover or party house), 2 - 3 people max

Ideally good natural light and space

Flexible on location within London, zone 1, 2 preference.

Storage for my bike and rock climbing, camping gear.

I’m reliable, financially responsible, and looking for a place where I can settle for a period of time (ideally 2 years) rather than something short-term.
