Looking for accommodation for 2026

Currently selling my house post divorce. I'm a semi-retired, ex-professional, mature student (studying for fun at the open university).

I'm quiet but chatty, tidy, well-presented, like to be out walking a lot, interested in politics, psychology, and philosophy, and spend a minimum of one week away per month caring for my elderly mother in Devon. I do spend time on my screen, but I do not do social media. I will be looking to buy my own property and move out eventually, but not for at least 12-24 months.

I'm a very clean housemate with excellent DIY skills and I love to garden and care for houseplants. I have furniture and can furnish my own room, but can also place things into storage if that's necessary.

I have a cat and would love to bring her with me, but I do have a place to re-home her if required.

I'd prefer a room on the large side, a shared kitchen and lounge, and a property with a garden - preferably all located in or close to the countryside. If you need any basic work doing on your house or garden while I stay with you, I'm the man you're looking for.
