From Essex dreaming of a new life in the country

Hi, I’m Jamie, also known as Heyoka, which translates to “backwards walking person”. It’s a nickname that reflects how I tend to see and approach the world a little differently. I love music, travelling, and hiking long distances, especially when it gives me time to think and reset.

I believe in being open from the start, so I want to share a bit about myself while keeping things clear and practical.

I value routine, honesty, and clear communication, and I generally suit a calm, respectful household. I’m considerate in shared spaces, reliable with commitments, and mindful of how my behaviour affects others.

I’ve had anorexia for around six years. I don’t tend to use the word “recovery”; I prefer to say that as my life improves, I do better with my eating disorder and I’m in a much healthier, more stable place. I currently live with my parents, but I’m ready to make a fresh start and live independently. I take good care of myself and do best in a non-chaotic environment with people who are understanding and kind.

I’m very clean and tidy, respectful of noise levels, and I gave up alcohol two years ago. I enjoy focusing on personal projects and working towards positive goals. I’m hoping to move somewhere with access to the countryside, as being close to nature suits me well.
