Cardiff/Newport room wanted for professional

I'm Andrew, a male professional working in IT and data aged 31. I am starting a new job in September/October, and I'm looking for a double room in a house with other professionals, available 7-days a week, and with working from home permitted. Ideally a furnished property, with outdoor space, and without smokers, please. I'm looking for a short term let initially whilst I find my feet and work out the logistics of my commute for my 2 days in-office. However, I would be open to discussing extending the lease towards the end of the initial rental period if you are willing.

I recently finished my PhD (in astronomy) at Cardiff University, and I'm excited to move back to the area. I am an enthusiastic person, and bring energy and positivity to friends, family, and team-members. That said, I'm also quite a chilled person when at home - my favourite ways to pass time are indulging in my passion for cooking whilst listening to podcasts/audiobooks (with headphones, mostly), gaming (tabletop, DnD, and videogames), reading (I'm a big fan of fantasy), and making knitwear for myself, family, and friends. I'm generally quite a quiet flatmate in that I'm nearly always using headphones, but I absolutely love music and enjoy singing along to my favourite tracks. I will always keep noise to a minimum outside of social hours/when others are sleeping though!

I am an animal lover (dogs especially) but my allergies make it difficult for me to be around cats (even though I am a cat lover too), so no properties with cats, please. I am looking to share with other professionals (especially anyone slightly nerdy) who like a relaxed, friendly, and relatively quiet home environment.
