Description
Hi Everyone,
I'm Josh, from the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. Shelby is my smaller-sized border collie (beagle size). We are both moving to London at the end of September. (Initially, I may come over solo, and bring Shelby over at Xmas, yet to decide.)
After years working a professional career at home, I'm moving to London to further my creative aspirations; I've been accepted into a Masters of Creative Writing at Roehampton.
I'm active, clean, respectful, financially stable, and easy going, and I've house shared plenty of times in my life. Equal parts happy to socialise and keep to myself, I'm a very considerate person to live with. I'm financially stable and able to provide bank statements to show I can pay my way for a very long time, but I do intend to get part-time work as well.
Shelby is a very easy dog with a beautiful temperament; she'll sing to you when she sees you in the morning. I'm out doing something with her twice a day, sometimes more. Other dogs, cats, animals-generally are fine. Shelby is friendly all round, and she doesn't like confrontation. And I love all animals regardless of type and have lots of experience, so I'm more than happy to help out with any other animals in the house :)
I read a lot, and I write a lot. I keep fit at the gym, running, mountain biking, and practicing yoga—I'll probably start teaching yoga again in London too. Non-smoker and rare drinker. Also, I love a good series, board games, cinema, theatre, hiking, nature, good conversation, and just getting out and about in parks and exploring London.
I'm looking for a double room that would comfortably fit a desk, as I'll be doing a lot of writing, and a place with a small garden for Shelby. She doesn't need much, just somewhere to go to the toilet when we aren't out at the park or wherever (ground floor flats with private small gardens are fine).
Ultimately, we're looking to find a peaceful, long-term home where we can settle in to our new lives—not just a room.
I've listed a lot of locations, but I'm open to other areas of London too.
If this sounds like a fit—reach out. I'm still in Australia, but I'm happy to do a video meet an greet on Whattsapp, with Shelby too of course!
It'd be great to have something lined up before we get there.
Cheers!
Josh
