Glasgow - Looking for a room in a shared flat

Hi everyone :)

My name is Sama and I am a 29 years old PhD student who is looking to make my move from Edinburgh to Glasgow. I’ve started my PhD in Edinburgh 2 years ago, but have always been drawn to Glasgow for its cultural and political life and so the time has finally come to take that step! I am Palestinian, born and raised in Berlin, and I work on decolonial spatial practices in Palestine. Next to my PhD, I also work part-time with an organisation that provides free legal support for Palestinians and allies across Europe facing repression for speaking out on Palestine.

I have lived in flatshares of different sizes for the past 10 years, and I’ve always loved creating a home together. I love plants, music, languages - cooking for one another, cozy hangouts or bar nights, exploring flea markets and cultural events. A sense of community and solidarity are key. Also, growing up, I used to share a room with my two sisters so definitely value sharing and respecting each other's space too.

I am looking preferably in the south but am open to other areas too. My budget is max 700 pounds including bills.
