Description
Hi, I’m Abdullah Tariq or Aboody or ABT or Abs. An MSc IT student at the University of Glasgow, full-time tech policy human rights advocate (5 years and counting), part-time explorer of anywhere my legs can take me. And I mean anywhere; I’m the kind of person who goes for a “quick walk” and comes back three hours later with photos of a random canal, a cat I met, and a coffee I didn’t plan to buy.
I’d love to celebrate the small wins, and share the occasional meal or hangout without intruding personal space.
I’m looking for a furnished flat or flatshare (£600–700) around the West End or anywhere that won’t make me sprint to lectures (unless that counts as training for my first half marathon). I’m ideally looking for a place where I can have my own bathroom, or the en-suite room and I’m happy to pay a higher share of the rent than others to make that work.
No gender preference, just students or early career professionals who are chill, tidy, and down for a comfortable, supportive space.
I love cooking and baking, sharing food is my thing. I make brilliant Indian/Pakistani dishes, but since they come with an "aromatic" trail for a week, I’ll save those for special occasions. Expect more banana bread, brownies, and experimental pasta instead. I also make animations and art illustrations in my free time, so sometimes you might catch me staring at my laptop muttering “why won’t you render.”
If you’re into running, random adventures, swapping playlists, or just having a flatmate who will feed you and check in when you’ve had a long day, we’ll get on like a house on fire (minus the actual fire hazard; I’m very responsible with the oven). Let’s find a place and make it feel a bit like home.
