Seeking a double room in a friendly flat!

I'm moving to London in September to take on a new role at LSE. A little bit about me and what I (will) do: I'm 28, I did my master's in London a few years ago and then moved back home to India; and now I'm going to be taking on a communications role at the school. It's a hybrid role, so I'd work from home around 2 days a week, and be in the office for the rest.

I'm looking for a flat where I can really feel at home with the people I'm staying with - I do enjoy socialising over a nice dinner, but I also really appreciate having my privacy when needed, and I'm very self-contained, so you definitely won't see my things all over the place. Things that I like to do include reading (I will arrive with a box full of books), travelling, watching terrible reality shows, hiking and pilates.

I'm going to be arriving in London on the 13th of September, so ideally I'd like to view flats after that, aiming for an end-September/early-October lease. I'm also happy to do a virtual viewing or take on a lease earlier for the right place!
