Couple looking for a room

We're a couple from Cardiff, Aidan (33) & Kate (37) moving to London whilst I study a course in MA Fine Art at City & Guilds Art School.
Preferably Sept/Oct move in for 1 year until mid Sept 2026.
Budget £1200 PCM

We're looking for a room/ shared house/ apartment/ somewhere quirky and with like-minded people to spend a year at least in London during studies and potentially beyond.
Ideally we'd like somewhere chilled to help me concentrate on my studies & downtime whilst Kate works in the hospitality industry.

We prefer to be somewhere in South London with decent commuting/cycling distance to Kennington, however open to places in East or other areas if it's the right place and the travel is suitable.

About us:
We have been together 10 years and own a house together in Wales so we are conscious of looking after a house properly.

I’m a professional, self-employed artist working for 10 years in Wales. I'm now furthering my career by coming to London to study as a mature Masters student to challenge my artist practice. I’m also a keen cyclist and quite often stuck into books about artists, politics and nature writing.

My partner Kate has worked in specialty coffee, tea and hospitality cafe industry for 15+ years and will be continuing to further her career in this realm in London.

Kate is well travelled having worked in Australia and I’ve travelled for artist residencies to India as well as joint travels across Europe & Türkiye. We’re both super interested in connecting with people all over the world so London is a really great place us to meet new people.

We’re both vegetarian (23 years for me & 10 for Kate) really keen on cooking and eating organic food where possible. We’re also both huge fans of cats and well experienced in looking after them.
We both love walking, nature and birdwatching. We go to lots of gigs and often visiting galleries and museums in London.
