Philosophy MPhil Student

I am a 24 year old MPhil student in philosophy (with a focus on normativity). My budget is around 1500 pounds. I'm moving from London, having finished a degree at the LSE, and would be likely to visit my girlfriend who lives there regularly. I do not have many scruples (beyond the usual ones) although I would like to end up somewhere where art, literature, music and poetry are appreciated. In my present digs, I rather enjoy holding symposia on these subjects.

Ideally, I am looking for somewhere maximally central, semi-furnished with some period features, as befits a tasteful collection of antiquarian books and furniture. I have always felt that the area behind Christ's Pieces' possesses exceptional charm.
