Hi everyone,

I’m 34, have just moved to London for my PhD at Queen Mary University of London. I’m looking for a room in a shared flat with 1–2 flatmates maximum. Ideally, the room would be en-suite or in an apartment with more than one bathroom.

East London would be great as a location, but I’m open to other areas too — as long as there are good Tube/Overground connections and shops, cafés, and other amenities nearby. I’d like to move in before mid-October.

It’s very important for me to find an anti-racist and safe environment where I can feel at home. I like to keep the space tidy and warm. I love cooking and hosting friends( and your friends) occasionally, but I also enjoy my own private space. I’ll sometimes be working from home, so I’d like to live with flatmates who are comfortable with that.

If you know of a room or flat that might fit, I’d really appreciate it.
