I am a professor at a Japanese university and will be taking a one-year sabbatical from November 2025 to the end of September 2026 to attend UCL at Here East (Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London E20 3BS). As I will be living alone, I am seeking a studio-type flat. Rent should be between £900 and £1,500. While I would prefer an area close to Here East, as commuting will be only two or three days a week, I am open to locations from Stratford on the Elizabeth Line to Ilford. An older apartment is perfectly acceptable. I am looking for a safe area.
