33 Dad & 3.5yr old - Double Room or Houseshare

Hey folks

I’m Kieron — 33, self-employed, running a small local cycle repair and handyman business around Framlingham. I’m looking for a new place within about 10 miles of the area — either a medium to large double room (ideally with an en suite or a bath) or possibly a room in a friendly house share.

I’ve got a 3½-year-old daughter who lives with me three days/nights a week — one of which she’s at nursery. You’d need to be okay with the quirks of living with a small child: lots of cooking, toys, laughter, and energetic play. We’re in and out quite a bit on those days, so it’s not constant chaos — but it’s not total calm either.

When it’s just me, I’m generally a calm, tidy person. Sometimes life gets busy and my space reflects a working life — I’m not immaculate, but I do like things clean and ordered. My last place was a 4-person house share in London, so I’m used to living with others, but I’ve been living solo for the past three years, so it’ll be a bit of an adjustment going back to a shared setup.

I generally eat healthy and use non-toxic household products. I can be a bit of a night owl when my daughter’s asleep or on the days she’s not here — usually just quietly writing or working in the evenings. She’s a solid sleeper once down, so no worries about adult noise after bedtime.

Ideally looking for a large room we can share (we’ve got a giant bunk bed setup that works great), or somewhere with a small adjoining room where she can have her own little den.

Currently renting alone in Framlingham, but it’s become unaffordable, so I’m hoping to find something more balanced and homely.

Budget (bills included):

Up to £700 for a larger space, en suite, or multi-room setup

Between £500–£600 for a double room in a shared house with shared bathroom
