Visiting PhD researcher looking for short let

Hi!

I’m a Chilean doctoral researcher (PhD in Education) looking for a place to stay during a three-month visit to the University of Glasgow as an international researcher. I’ll be in Glasgow from 20 November, 2025 to 1 March, 2026, though I can be flexible with the start date (no later than 1 December, 2025).

I’m looking for a furnished room (with at least a bed, wardrobe and desk) within walking distance of the University of Glasgow, preferably in the West End. I’ll be splitting my time between working on campus and from home.

I grew up in a small family-run hostel, so I’m used to sharing spaces with others and understand the flexibility that comes with it. I’m not obsessive about tidiness, but I do appreciate keeping shared spaces clean and hygienic, especially the kitchen and bathroom.

I enjoy socialising with flatmates in my free time and love the occasional weekend gathering where I can meet fun new people, but I also value a calm, peaceful home where I can unwind. I may be away some weekends or for a couple of weeks to travel outside Glasgow, as this will be my first extended visit to Scotland.

Speak native Spanish and fluent English.
