Engineer looking for room in Bristol

Hello, I’m Ollie, a 24 year old recent graduate (did a 5 year degree), who has recently just accepted a job offer at an engineering firm in the north of Bristol. I’m originally from Southampton and went to universtiy there, but I’m now looking to relocate to be close to my new office.

I’m ideally looking for other professionals of a similar age to buddy up with so we can find a cheaper house share rather than a very expensive 1 or 2 bedroom flat.

Throughout uni I lived in 6 person house shares (4 girls, 2 boys) and we became such good friends and made so many core uni memories.

I’m looking to replicate this in Bristol by finding sociable people that I can become actual friends with, rather than just mere acquaintances that happen to live together. Like I want to be able to physically do things inside and outside of the house together rather than just make small talk in the kitchen! :)
This could include doing house fajita nights, playing board games, binging a TV series together, to going to the cinema, venturing on a hike, going to the pub etc.

With my new job I’ll be in the office 3 days a week and therefore doing 2 days WFH. In terms of staying active, I go to the gym regularly, love to go on runs (currently building up to a half marathon) and I’ve played hockey since I was 8 years old. I also like music, which comes with going to festivals, raves and gigs, as well as chilling out with Xbox and TV.

I’m incredibly clean as well. At uni I was frequently the one carrying the household chores of emptying/filling the dishwasher, taking out the bins, sweeping, mopping etc.

I’m currently in Australia and New Zealand and not back until 5th Feb, while I start my new job on 23rd Feb so looking to move into a new place sometime between these dates, but can be January for the right house and right people (I just won’t be able to do the viewings).
