I'm a recently graduated PhD relocating to Oxford from NYC for a post-doc. I'm looking for a quiet, clean place to rent while I learn the area and look for something more permanent. I am friendly, conscientious, and independent, but would also like to get to know the people I'm living with, and learn from them about the area. Ideally I'd like to rent from a person rather than a large co-living firm.

I have a partner (also an academic) who lives in France, so he may visit occasionally (I'll travel to visit him), so I'll need to live somewhere that allows occasional (e. g. a few days every 2-3 months) guests.

I don't have any pets of my own, but I love animals so having one would be a bonus. I'm also happy to pet sit on occasion.
