Description
I'm looking for a room within walking/cycling distance of the University of Liverpool Leahurst campus. I am taking on a maternity cover position and am expecting the role to continue for at least 6 months, possibly more, depending on when the incumbent is ready to return to work.
Rest assured, I am tidy, respectful, reliable and trustworthy. I am a landlord myself, back in Australia. I'm also a director of the management company that oversees the block of apartments in which my partner and I have our Bristol home. Professionally, I am a board certified veterinary anatomic pathologist with a PhD and Masters, and I am editor for The Scope, the official newsletter of the Australian Society for Veterinary Pathology. I'm currently in the Cayman Islands, teaching as Associate Professor of Veterinary Pathology but will move to Leahurst in mid January 2026. My current Cayman Islands landlord can provide a renters reference upon request.
Flatmates can expect me to be at work during business hours Monday to Friday. After hours and on weekends, I will likely be studying for my next set of specialist exams, coming up in 2027. I'm also happy to socialise from time to time. I quite like sharing travel stories, for example. I'd like to explore Liverpool and surrounding areas while I'm at Leahurst, however I am going to try very hard to avoid getting a car, so I will probably be making use of a bike and public transport.
