Description
Hi, I'm Nisha, 35 year old professional, just moved to Edinburgh in August.
I moved here 5 months ago and am here for a year to get a feel for if I want to stay long term so I'll be out and about a lot trying to make a social circle and would love to have a housemate(s) that can be a part of that.
I moved here simply because I like it ;) I kept the same job who have an office in Edinburgh coincidentally and so I do 2/3 office days and the other two WFH.
I'm living with a family friend at the moment so my moving out dates are easy but looking for some time in Jan, committing to the end of June. I currently plan to take a sabbatical in July and Aug and would need to technically not be living anywhere at that time as I'll be travelling.
I'm a very clean and tidy person (one of the reasons I need to move from where I am, the other person isn't clean...)
While I'm living in Edinburgh I'm trying to eat and drink at a very long list of recommended bars and restaurants. Would love for my future housemate(s) to join me on those experiences.
I have a car and am also trying to visit every region of Scotland between now and June - adventure buddies welcome!
In addition to the above interests of experiencing new restaurants and bars, and trying to travel all of Scotland; I also love walks and hikes, I've taken up cold/wild swimming since I arrived here. I do love to cook and love to host (appreciate thats dependant on the home set-up). I'm very left, inclusive, queer, neurodivergent. I'm your friendly bisexual autistic newbie to Scotland :) I love crafts and arts but if I'm honest, alot of that has taken a backseat as i focus on trying to build my social circle.
Some non-negotiables from me:
• Looking for somewhere with a parking space
• Not fussed in area but would want it within a 50 min walk of St James Quarter (I work near there)
• It's only till end of June
• My budget is £750 bills incl. I could go slightly higher but I would have to be more central so as to never get a bus again (foregoing the bus is how I'd afford to pay abit more)
• Would love equally adventurous/sociable housemate(s)
• I am clean and tidy. I understand life gets in the way and sometimes it builds up but I currently live with a man and dog and that doesnt = clean and cosy :(
• I'm very accommodating outside of that haha, I sleep through anything so thats always been helpful.
• I can cook good too so happy to feed on occasion :)
• I've moved from Birmingham and my bestest friends are all far away so I would have the occasional weekend visitor stay over.
I'm away for Christmas at the moment but am free for any viewings from 29th Dec
Thank you for reading to the end.
