Ex-forces, reliable couple seeking 6 month room

Hello!

We’re a married couple soon to be returning from 1 year of backpacking around the world, looking for a place to stay in or around Wakefield from March to September. We have our own home in Horbury but can’t move back in until September, so we’re after something short-term in the meantime.

I (Beth) am a healthcare professional, and my husband is an engineer, and we both left the armed forces in early 2025 after over a decade of service each. We are clean, tidy, respectful, and reliable. We keep ourselves to ourselves but enjoy a chat and a beer now and again.
We’re both job-seeking on our return, but will have savings to cover any rent.

What we’re looking for:
- A clean, comfortable double room (ideally an en suite or have our own bathroom)
- Bills included
- Ideally within Wakefield or nearby areas
- Parking (on street is okay as long as it's not a busy street). Easy public transport links would be a bonus
- Short-term let (around 6 months)
- We LOVE animals, especially dogs (we've fostered 4 in the past, so happy to live with/ help look after any pets.
