PhD student looking for room near UoB

Hi everyone! I’m Emily, I’m 26 and a part-time PhD student, part-time SEN nanny. I’m fairly new to Bristol and have been living in Kingswood since September, but I’m hoping to move a little closer to UoB now that I’ve found my feet, so Clifton/Redland/Montpelier and surrounding areas would be great (though flexible within reason!). My budget is around £850pcm including bills, but would be able to stretch a little.

I’m looking for a house share (or potentially someone to double up with in a similar position), hopefully for the long term. I’m looking to move early late Feb/March. I do have a car that currently lives at my parents’ house, so a parking spot would be ideal but is not necessary (and I probably wouldn't be bringing it right away). I’d ideally like to be sharing with only one or two people, and I’d love a friendly, relaxed space that isn’t a party house. I am also okay with unfurnished, this is just a preference.

I work a lot from home, so would really like somewhere with space for a desk or where I’m mostly on my own during working hours, but I accept that’s not always possible.
A little about me:
- I love music - I collect records, play guitar, and am learning mandolin and banjo (though rest assured I’m considerate and quiet with when I practice!); I’m quite big into 60s/70s music and fashion 😁
- I like to cook - I’m not a vegetarian but trying to cut down on meat, would love to organise house meals etc as and when!
- I’m pretty friendly and talkative, but I do like my alone time and a bit of quiet
- I’m studying Population Health Sciences at UoB, and I’m doing my PhD in mental health in autistic women ☺️
- I’m a bit of a cinephile - happy to share my BFI subscription if you are too!
- I love animals though don’t have a pet myself, so any pets are a bonus! And I’d be happy to help take care of any if you’re away at any point.
- Generally a clean and tidy housemate 😊
