Seeking a friendly home.

Hi there! I’m Briony, 26, and I’m looking for somewhere calm and welcoming to really call home for a while- ideally with space for me and my two wonderful dogs.

The most important thing for me in a housemate is open communication and leading with kindness. I truly believe home should be the one place where you can take the mask off, feel safe, and properly decompress. I’m very respectful of shared spaces and value a peaceful, considerate household.

I work from home within the mental health field, though I spend a lot of my days out in cafés, parks, and outdoor spaces with the dogs. I enjoy a balanced routine and I’m mindful about keeping shared spaces calm and comfortable for everyone.

I’m mostly vegan, though I do occasionally eat vegetarian meals. I don’t judge what other people eat at all — I simply ask for the same respect in return. I’m sober and don’t smoke.

I’ve often been told I’m very quiet to live with-sometimes housemates haven’t even realised I’m home! That said, I can absolutely be chatty and I genuinely love people. I just really value having space where I can recharge, and I’m happiest in a home where everyone respects one another’s space and keeps noise to sociable hours. I’ll always do the same.

I’m an old soul at heart. When I’m not working or volunteering, I enjoy a relaxed, low-key life. I’m more than happy to help with cooking, do my fair share of housework, and lend a hand with gardening.

I have two dogs: a cheerful Golden Retriever and a gentle older Greek rescue. They’re house-trained, very friendly, and a huge part of my life. My eldest will be turning 16 in a few months, so I’m very focused on giving him a calm, loving environment during this chapter. Over time, I expect I’ll be living with one dog rather than two.

I also have a husband who is a chef and is currently living and working abroad. I visit him every few months, during which time the dogs stay in boarding. I’m ideally looking for a home where he could occasionally visit or stay for a few nights a few times a year.

I’m open to mixed or male house shares, though I feel most comfortable in a female household or with an older couple. I’m looking to live with people over 21.

Ideally, I’m looking for a pet-friendly house, flat, or cottage, with a bit of outdoor space, in a safe and friendly area with shops and green spaces within walking distance.
